Our Services

Your pet does so much for you and your family, from wagging tails when you come home to playful antics that fill the home with joy. It’s only natural that you want the very best for them. It doesn’t matter if you’re welcoming a new furry family member, looking to improve the health of an older pet or want to make sure your dog or cat is up to date on their vaccinations, Ramsey Animal Hospital is here for all of your veterinary needs.

Annual Physicals

Whether it’s setting a health baseline for a new pet or charting their progress through the years, annual physicals allow our vets to give true “nose to tail” service to your pets. Physicals are the first line of preventive care, whether it’s spaying or neutering younger pets to dental care for older pets. Annual exams also let us track changes to their health as the years go by.

Vaccinations/Treatments

Vaccinations play an integral part in keeping your pets healthy and happy all year long. Along with preventing common illnesses in your dog or cat, annual vaccinations and monthly treatments keep fleas, ticks, and other parasites from causing both external and internal problems for your pets.

Pet Dentistry

Just like with humans, good oral health will go a long way to improving the overall health of your pet. When dental disease is left unchecked, infections can affect internal organs (kidneys, liver, heart) by traveling through the bloodstream. Recent studies have shown that at least 70 percent of dogs and cats have some kind of oral disease. Good dental care is another way to prevent small issues from becoming big problems.

Nutrition

Studies show that nearly half of all adult dogs and cats are overweight. So while it may be tempting to give your dog a few table scraps, it can lead to an unhealthy weight depending on their activity levels. Let our nutritionists develop a healthy diet to help get your pets back to feeling their best (and we’ll even allow for the occasional treat).

Internal Medicine

While we can spot the occasional flea bite or see a noticeable limp, problems with our pets aren’t always so easy to spot. And they can’t tell us when they’re not feeling all that great, unfortunately. So if your pet just isn’t acting like themselves, bring them to Ramsey Animal Hospital for a full screening. With the latest radiology equipment and an in-house lab, we can quickly test and diagnose your pet’s problems and take action.

End of Life Services

It happens to the best of them, and it can be a difficult time when a beloved pet is suffering from poor quality of life. When you’ve made the decision, reach out to Ramsey Animal Hospital for loving and compassionate care during these final moments. We perform euthanasia and allow you for you take care of the body or perform cremation if that’s your desire.

Emergency Care

The worst thing about accidents is we never plan for them. If your pet gets into something they shouldn’t have, or gets out and finds themselves in trouble, make sure to call us during our open hours. Tell us what happened and if we can help we’ll get a room ready. If we can’t help, we will give you recommendations on which clinics can provide the emergency services you need.
